638 Green Ice Flow
Blue green ice forms in Rock Creek after very cold temperatures. The process is called ‘ice gorging’. When conditions are right, ice forms on the rocks at the bottom of the stream bed and fills the creek bed with ice. This image is from a bridge over Rock Creek a little east of Westminster Spires and about 8 miles south of Red Lodge, Montana.
