Beautiful early morning alpenglow on Pilot and Index Peaks of the Absaroka Mtn. range in northwestern Wyoming. The prominent peaks overlook the Clarks Fork Valley of the Yellowstone along the Beartooth Highway. Ernest Hemingway viewed these peaks as he penned some of “For Whom the Bells Toll” from the Nordquist ranch, one of his favorite hunting spots.
