St Olaf Lutheran Church sits above the confluence of Red Lodge and Volney Creeks about 25 miles north of Red Lodge, Montana. A group of Norwegian immigrants started construction in 1904 so they didn’t have to travel so far by horse and buggy. The church is now maintained by the ‘locals’ and is used mainly for weddings and funerals.
